Welcome to the ICT Professional Calculator. This has been designed to help in the identification of the skills needs of IT users and in the selection of appropriate routes to gaining an ITO qualification.
Please be aware that this tool is intended for use by professionals involved in the design and delivery of ITO.

One of the factors which affect effective and efficient progress to attainment of an ITQ qualification is an understanding of the “rules of combination”. These allow the mixing of units and the assembly of qualifications which best suit requirements.
The ICT Calculator enables you to check that selected combinations add to a full ITQ qualification at the level required and that they are in compliance with the rules of combination. This ensures that providers, employers and candidates do not inadvertently choose inappropriate combinations.
You can also obtain explanations of why, or why not, chosen combinations comply with the rules.
In addition each Unit is supported by descriptions of its National Occupational Standards.
