* Information - we can help you either in person, by telephone or by email to make informed decisions about learning and work opportunities. Regular open days provide an insight to the industry and what to expect in terms of career path, salary levels and likely entry points. Advice - there is usually a need for more that just straightforward information and the work placement service is provided with a person-to-person needs analysis. The student is placed with one of our employer partners for two weeks to experience a real working environment as a supplement to the training course that has just been completed. Whilst there is no obligation on either part, the placement can quite often lead to an offer of employment. Guidance – The training course and support activities increase awareness of the opportunities open to the student and help the student to recognise their own strengths and abilities. The learning experience is an opportunity to investigate different career options with real-life experience and anecdote encouraged as a supporting method of information delivery. We can look at likes and dislikes, and possibly even the way personality affects work choices. We can review previous experience and look at the way forward. We can also help to plan future career choices and think about suitable jobs. The training course can also help the student to consider the training most appropriate to a chosen career path. |
