FAQ's

Why do I need training?

A trained workforce gives companies a strategic and tactical advantage over the competition, whilst individuals benefit by having a set career path and opportunities for professional growth, leading to increased earning power and job satisfaction. In this market, where there is often little difference between one company's pricing and products and another's, the expertise of employees is being used as the main marketing tool.

Training is critical if you want to keep up with technological advances, new equipment, newly published standards and to take advantage of the global opportunities. Increasingly everyone working in the communications sector is required to provide proof of their competence, skill and knowledge, and only continuous training can provide this proof.

What qualifications do I need?

There are no right or wrong qualifications, however they are becoming a pre-requisite within the comms. sector. At CNet we offer as many qualifications on each course as possible. By 'mapping' qualifications across our courses we offer the opportunity for delegates to gain the most from their training. Thus on some of our programmes you will be able to gain more than one qualification as well as BICSI continuing education credits - a requirement for BICSI members to retain their membership.

What is BICSI?

BICSI is an international industry body, serving the global communications industry, providing an independent source for transfer of unbiased information and skill sharing. Some CNet t raining programmes include BICSI continuing education credits, these are hours of credit ( BICSI CEC's) which BICSI members are required t o obtain to renew their membership status. For further information on BICSI visit their website on www.bicsi.org.
Within Europe BICSI programmes are available only through BICSI Approved Training Providers and CNet was the first and remains the largest training provider in Europe to be licenced to offer BICSI programmes.

What can CNet offer?

CNet is the largest and leading independent training provider in the communications sector. Courses range from 2-day upgrades for those seeking re-training, to 10-day programmes designed for new entrants, and straddle a broad section of communications mediums and associated subjects. Many of the UK's leading organisations contract us to train their own employees and corporate partners, and we have written, designed and delivered hundreds of such bespoke courses.

How do I know which course is best for me?

For each course we have provided a short description highlighting the suitability and whether any previous experience is required and if so, towhat degree. However, should you be unsure of the best course for you, simply ring us and one of our experienced staff will assist you.

What are the timings of the courses?

Most courses start at 9am, break for lunch and continue until around 5pm. All the BICSI programmes finish an hour later at around 6pm. Timings are always issued as part of our booking confirmation procedure.

How can I book and pay?

To book listed courses, simply phone us to reserve your chosen date and confirm by completing and emailing us the confirmation form. Payment can be made by cheque and all major credit cards, invoices can be issued on receipt of a purchase order number and authorised signature.
